Inside GMI’s NPI Team: From Development to Production 

In this interview, Kyle explains how GMI’s dedicated NPI team brings engineering, sourcing and project management together early in the development process. Launch engineers work directly with OEM R&D and NPD teams to evaluate manufacturability and identify opportunities for improvement, while NPI sourcing reviews the BOM for supplier, cost and supply-chain risks before it reaches the broader sourcing team. A dedicated project lead then helps keep both GMI and the OEM aligned on decisions, timelines and deliverables throughout the launch.
