Automation so cool, we had to share!

As you know, GMI Solutions is an efficient, high quality contract manufacturer and outsourced assembly partner for many of the world’s tier one OEMs. In addition to offering our outstanding engineering and production services, GMI has been focusing internally on continuous improvements, including automation. Automation is key for the next phase of manufacturing due to the aging workforce, labor shortages and cost productivity requirements. With increased efficiency in mind, we are proud to spotlight our customer MūL Technologies.

MūL has developed MARC (Mobile Autonomous Robotic Cart) which does point-to-point movement of products/goods within a facility. MARC requires no Wi-Fi, uses commercial off-the-shelf components to make it affordable (less than $10K) and it is as easy to program as your car radio. Most of MūL’s customers have units up and working in less than ten minutes from the time they unbox it.

Not only does GMI produce MARC in our factory, we have also adopted it for internal use. MARC has allowed our team to focus on more value-add activities and streamline their job functions. MARC provides a fast ROI!
